| Whatever Happened To Singer Richard
Marx?
Eighties pop singer Richard Marx, who is
best known for smash hits such as "Don't Mean Nothing," "Satisfied," "Hazard"
and many other chart popping songs has been leading the quiet life concentrating
on parenting and producing.
Does he miss the good old days with sold
out concerts and awestruck fans? Not one bit. Since the late
90's, Marx has been content with just writing songs for other artists such
as M'Sync, Michael Bolton and Barbra Streisand.
Marx, now living just outside of Chicago
(where he was born and raised), prefers the quiet suburban life.
With his wife, actress Cynthia Rhodes (Staying Alive), and three boys,
Brandon, Lucas, and Jesse, Marx prefers to just shoot pool, play video
games and write songs.
Marx was an only child and began song writing
at the age of only 5-years-old. When Marx entered his teens, it was
mega-star Lionel Richie who heard Marx's demo and suggested that he move
to L.A. Marx followed his advice landed his first recording contract
in 1987. Since then, Marx has sold over 25 million records.
In an age where mega stars seem to "fall
and crumble," Marx made a smooth transition from fame to a somewhat normal
life. "I
don't have to worry about how my voice
feels or how my hair looks," says Marx. |
