Actress Nancy McKeon is best know for her
role as "Jo" on the long running 80's sitcom "The Facts of Life."
McKeon was born in on April 4, 1966 in Westbury, New York.
McKeon got an early start to her career
when she was only two years old. Her brother, Philip, who is 18 months
older were featured in over 60 different commercials and appeared in Sears
fashion catalogs.
At the age of twelve, she got guest roles
on popular TV series such as "Starsky and Hutch", "Alice", "Love Boat"
and "Fantasy Island" It was little later that she was cast as a regular
on "The Facts of Life."
What has she been up to since the show
went off the air?
McKeon did a lot of made for TV movies
after the "Facts of Life" went of the air. She filmed movies such
as "A Cry for Help: The Tracey Thurman Story", "Baby Snatcher", "Love,
Honor & Obey: The Last Mafia Marriage", and many other TV movies.
In 1995, she starred in the sitcom "Can't
Hurry Love," which had McKeon cast as a single woman trying to find love
and happiness. The sitcom did not last long.
In 1998, she starred in a sitcom called
"Style and Substance." The sitcom only lasted 13 episodes.
Nancy McKeon currently stars in the cop
show "The Division" in 2001 about a story that revolves around four women
cops. She studied for her role as Jinny by driving around with real-life
cops, on the 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift.
