| Whatever Happened To Actor Malcolm
Jamal Warner?
Born in New Jersey in 1970, Malcolm-Jamal
Warner raised to fame by playing Theo Huxtable on the popular NBC sitcom
"The Cosby Show." Warner was raised in California by his divorced
mother, who also is his manager. Warner developed an interest in
acting at the tender age of nine and enrolled in acting classes.
It was on the last day of a nationwide search that Warner was cast to play
Theo in "The Cosby Show."
After "The Cosby Show" ended, Warner hosted
a variety of TV specials and even did voiced roles on the popular animated
children's series "The Magic School Bus" (PBS, 1994-98) and tried to repeat
his sitcom success as the star of the short-lived "Here and Now" (NBC,
1992-93). This sitcom did not do well and he fared better with the
sitcom "Malcolm and Eddie" (1996-2000), which paired him with comic Eddie
Griffin as roommates. After that sitcom ended, Warner
appeared in the sci-fi series "Jeremiah"
(2002). |
