| Whatever Happened To Eve Plumb (Jan
Brady from Brady Bunch)?
Eve Plumb was born on April 29th, 1958
in Burbank, California. She got started in television when she appeared
in as episode of The Big Valley in 1966, but will always be remembered
for her most famous role as Jan Brady in the television series, "The Brady
Bunch." "The Brady Bunch" ran from 1969 to 1974 and is still one
of the most popular syndicated shows on television.
Now at age 45, the lifelong actress is
living a quiet and normal life with her husband in North Hollywood.
She passes her time by painting, gardening and shopping.
Plumb never made it as a major actress
because she could never shake of the image of her childhood character.
"That's what's so disappointing to everybody -- that I'm not her," Plumb
said."I had a waitress say to me, 'Are you Jan Brady?' 'I played her on
TV.' " 'No, but are you her!?' "
For more than two decades, Plumb has been
fighting for her own identity. She went from 1983 to '88 without
any acting roles, then had a part in the comedy "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka."
Following that, she did a couple of Brady reunion specials because "work
is work," she says.
The 90's rock bank Eve's Plum was named
in her honour although she has never met them and finds the whole thing
very odd. |
