Could there be a more crewel way to kill someone than to cook them from the inside out? Why don't they just make a great big microwave.  You just gotta make sure the person  you're disposing of isn't wearing any metal. That would be crewel! Oh wait. That's like a big oven. That would be wrong. Wouldn't want to kill someone in a manor that some might find offensive.

That reminds me:  I've been thinking about doing a series of paintings of chairs. There's so much beautiful design when it comes to the chair. Such a simplistic, utilitarian object... So many ways to reinvent it. I was thinking about having a whole bunch of recognizable chair style appear in odd-ball settings.  An Eames at a basketball game.  A Louis the 16th in the grocery.  A pod chair in a corn field.  An old-timer rocking chair in a corporate board room.  A beanbag in the crosswalk.

Check out this AWSOME folding chair!

"Enlightenment, for a wave in the ocean, is the moment the wave realizes it is water." - Thich Nhat Hanh

Something oddly interesting about teeth. When my wisdom teeth were extracted I wasnted to keep them. Only one came out intact. The doctor had the assistant seal it in a little sterile plastic pouch before I could take it home. The others were disposed of as waste. I wept through most of the procedure because I was sad: Sad that I was loosing a physical part of me. Sad because I'd never had a bone broken before and teeth are bones and 3 of them had to be shattered to get them out. Must have driven the doctor nuts. He thought I was crying from the pain. How do you explain grief over a tooth extraction? Seriously, it was no big deal. The freezing wore off by dinner and I enjoyed a nice juicy steak at Caesar's the night.

I kept my kitten's baby teeth when they fell out too.

I fould a polished white mouse skull in the garden this summer and the teeth were intact. Skulls look better with the teeth in place.

My husband lost one of his teeth this summer. It was bashed loose while at work. He could have saved it had he gone to see a dentist or at least left it alone in place. But no. He got tired of the wiggly feeling and pulled it himself. I'm mad at him for that. I know it's just a stupid tooth and it makes no difference to his character... but everytime I see that gap a tiny part of me says, "Stupid Hick!" Call me shallow. I don't care. There are an awful lot fo people out there that don't even know what a great guy he is who are thinking the same thing.

I don't know that I really need to achieve enlightenment. I would like to feel greater clarity of mind though. I do logic puzzels and take fish oil suppliments to keep the gray matter wheels from squeeking. I miss that new-brain feeling when I would learn something new and really get it. It's like a big flash goes off in your head and the whole world shifts a little because you preception just got wider.

Like bio-chemistry class in college: I was half way through and well on my way to failing when the professer sat me down to explain how the formulas worked. WHOOSH! I GOT IT! I had an awakening. Though my final grade didn't reflect it (pretty hard to make a come-back by that point) I really enjoyed that class because I experienced the act of learning.

Sensibility and Practibility are not synonamous.

Paul commented on the BIG glass of wine I had just poured.  Well, I could have poured 2 little glasses but at the time it just seemed more practical to make only one trip to the kitchen for a drink.  Really, what's the point of leaving some in the bottle when I know I'm going to drink it?

Now, wether that BIG glass of wine was sensible or not... that is debatable.
