Doctors in Canada use an adhesive similar to Krazy Glue instead of stitches, lowering the possibility of bacterial infection and minimizing scarring.

By Andrea_Jenna 45 Days AgoWould you use crazy glue over your regular band-aid for a cut?
By Pat_Migroin 88 Days AgoOkay ladies and gents. Do not use Krazy glue on your cuts. Krazy glue and most super glues are TOXIC. It says so on the wrapper, there is however a non-toxic super glue that Doctors do use to bond cuts. So if you get hurt go to the doctor. Do not put toxic chemicals in your blood stream.

By loners_galore 386 Days AgoThis is what they did to me as well. I had an ovarian surgery (I had two cysts that needed to be removed and a dead ovary) a few years ago. They didn't stitch it closed and I had fun peeling off the glue after I healed XDDDD
By Anonymous 386 Days AgoThey do this in the U.S. as well. In fact, my brother had this instead of traditional stitches.
By Jay-Mark 386 Days AgoI've had a minor skull fracture (well, only the when I was a kid (but God did it bleed) and when I got to the hospital the doctor told my parents that they'd try a new stuff to repair my scalp cut, They said it was a new kind of super strong and adhesive glue especially made for those kind of things. It was in a syringe and the doctor only put some of it on the cut and it worked wonderfully. I barely felt anything. Now that I think about it, mabye it was crazy glue after all... tsss, I don't mind, I only have a tiny scar on my skull and it can't be seen because of my long hair...
By Anonymous 386 Days AgoIt is what Super glue (or Krazy glue) was invented for. It was invented during the Vietnam war to patch up wounded soldiers quicker and more effectively than stitches.
So it is hardly a strange fact that doctors used it in Canada!
