By Pat_Migroin 284 Days AgoHey he murdered his wife, what did he expect. At least he didnt get the gallows. My understanding is that is much more painful. His wife got an axe. I would have killed him with a spoon if it where up to me. But there is nothing like our current system, violent criminals who torcher and maim get peaceful and humane deaths. What a crock.
By Georgia S 666 Days AgoWell I think if anyone would be like that he or she deserves it.
By Anonymous 666 Days Agoconcivted of murdering his wife tillie zeigler on march 29th, then execuded on aug 6th 1890. william kemmlers lawyer's appealed the death sentence by electrocution..stating it was cruel an unusal punishment. even being backed up by one of the founding fathers of electricity george westinghouse..the appeal failed because thomas edison was all for this execution mainly because he wanted to show how dangerous AC electricity was, what people do for publicity. the day before he was set to die the tested the chair on a horse(i wonder what the horse did, especially one that can sit in a chair lol). convinced that 1000 volts was adequate enough william kellar approached the chair on aug 6th saying "gentleman goodluck im sure ill get a good place an im ready".. on august 6th 1890 william kemmler was killed by electrocution, (twice)..
