Well The Buddha is no God that's for sure, and no one should think that, he is simply a person who has acheived enlightment and should be treated and looked up to,but what is the difference of his tooth and any other persons? He is mortal is he not?

When the Buddha was in real life, before He attained enlightenment, His tooth is valuable by now, because the tooth was the Buddha's tooth, so it is valuable to be in a temple dedicated to a tooth of the Buddha.
